
SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The employers' crisis staff, formed on the initiative of the Association of Employers of FBiH, comprising representatives of UPFBiH and the Chamber of Commerce of FBiH, submitted a proposal for urgent measures to the authorities aimed at mitigating the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic on the economy and jobs.
The urgent measures demand from the competent institutions at all levels of government:
1. The establishment of a Compensation Fund from domestic and foreign resources to refund part of the costs for workers who will lose their jobs.
2. The urgent reaching of an agreement between the entity governments, trade unions, and employers' associations to define the method of jointly bearing the costs of labor.
3. The urgent adoption of a moratorium for legal and natural persons on loan repayments.
4. The reduction and postponement of utility payments during the state of emergency.
5. The reduction and postponement of business premises rent and utility fees by local community authorities.
6. The definition of parafiscal charges that will be reduced or abolished while the extraordinary circumstances last.
7. The examination of the possibility of reducing the price or postponing the payment of energy costs.
