Last Parliament Session of 2016: EC Report, BHRT Management Board Members Election, Žiko Krunić's Resignation

At the last session of the House of Representatives of the BiH PA this year, held today in Sarajevo, MPs will also consider the European Commission's report on BiH for 2016. The report analyzes the situation in BiH, the media, public administration, and presents numerous criticisms, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

Also, due to the expiry of the mandate of the members of the BHRT Management Board, new members from all three constituent peoples will be appointed today. From the Bosniak people, RAK rated Emir Hadžimuratović the best, but the Collegium prepared a new proposal and nominated the third-placed Mufid Memija.

The session will also consider the resignation of Žiko Krunić from the position of member of the Independent Board of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH as an independent body of the police structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which he submitted on 14.12.2016. Krunić was previously sanctioned by the Commission for Determining Conflict of Interest because he simultaneously held the position of Chairman of the Independent Board of the PA BiH and one of the directors at RiTE Gacko. Krunić subsequently resigned from the position of member of the Independent Board, citing "obstruction in the investigation of the attack on Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić in 2015 in Potočari" as the reason for his resignation.
