LAST 24 HOURS IN BiH 121 people infected with coronavirus, 21 died

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In Bosnia and Herzegovina, during the last 24 hours, 121 new cases of coronavirus were registered, while 21 people died from the effects of this virus.

In the last 24 hours, 1,034 samples were reported to the Institute for Public Health of the Federation of BiH, of which 75 were positive for SARS-CoV-2.

New cases were registered in Una-Sana, Central Bosnia, Herzegovina-Neretva, Tuzla and Sarajevo Canton.

So far, a total of 400,836 samples have been tested, and SARS-CoV-2 has been confirmed in 78,760 people. 

As of today, 65,606 patients have recovered in the Federation of BiH. In the last 24 hours, 256 patients have recovered. Currently, there are 10,661 active cases positive for SARS-CoV-2.

In the last 24 hours, 15 new deaths were reported to the Institute for Public Health of the Federation of BiH.

As of today, the number of deaths in the Federation of BiH is 2,493.

Since the last report on the epidemiological situation in the Republic of Srpska, in the last 24 hours, testing of 376 laboratory samples was performed at the Institute for Public Health of the Republic of Srpska, the University Clinical Center of the Republic of Srpska and the Hospital Sv. Vračevi in Bijeljina, and the coronavirus was confirmed in 37 people.

These are 25 male and 10 female persons, of whom four are younger, 14 middle-aged and 19 elderly.

According to place of residence, 11 people are from Banja Luka, four each from Bijeljina and Laktaši, three each from Bratunac and Zvornik, two each from Kotor Varoš and Prnjavor, and one each from Brod, Gradiška, Kneževo, Milići, Mrkonjić Grad, Srbac, Srebrenica and Šipovo.

In the last 24 hours, four deaths with confirmed presence of the coronavirus were reported to the Institute for Public Health of the Republic of Srpska. These are three elderly men and one elderly woman from Pale (two persons), Prijedor and Donji Žabar. 

So far, 40,323 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the Republic of Srpska, and a total of 2,070 people with a confirmed coronavirus test have died.

In the Republic of Srpska, 27,021 people have recovered from the new coronavirus so far, and a total of 184,110 people have been tested.

The total number of hospitalized in the Republic of Srpska is 588, 211 in the University Clinical Center of the Republic of Srpska, and 377 in general hospitals.

In the Republic of Srpska, 4,471 people are currently under health supervision, and supervision has been completed for 129,872 people.

Brčko District

In the Brčko District, nine new cases of infection were registered, while two people died.
