The Deputy Who, with Only 260 Votes Won, Holds the "Key" to Forming the Government in the RS!

Only seven days remain until the formation of the parliamentary majority and the day when it will be known who will be in power in the RS – the bloc led by the SNSD or the Alliance for Changes of the RS. Although the main actors in the negotiations that will take place in these seven „critical“ days, because it still cannot be said with certainty who has the narrow majority of 42 deputies, are Milorad Dodik, Mladen Ivanić, Dragan Čavić, Mladen Bosić... one name has surfaced and he literally holds the „key“ to the future government in his hands, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

He is Adam Šukalo, the president of the Party of Progressive Serbia, who „earned“ his mandate with only 260 votes won. It is precisely Šukalo, who is currently under the greatest pressure from both blocs, who in seven days, by raising his hand, will announce to the public which side he has chosen. And what he will get in return is still unknown, because those well-versed in political events in the RS say he is an „excellent negotiator“ who has already stated which positions he wants in return.

Today's press conference that Šukalo held in Banja Luka, from which he stated that they are „not ready to form a government with the participants of the vote-buying affair“, is merely a political show for the public and a bargaining tactic.

Also, his message that the coalition DNS-SRS-NS held a joint meeting where they disagreed on many issues with their partners, and that they will negotiate with other parties outside this bloc, is part of a well-orchestrated scenario.

Šukalo has already defined everything with Dodik, and allegedly, he will receive everything from the list he submitted to the SNSD leader in return. That would then mean that the government in the RS will be formed by the SNSD, i.e., Dodik.

How this will further reflect on the situation at the state level, where the SDA-DF-Alliance for Changes Agreement has already been signed, will be known in seven days.

We remind you, the leader of HDZ BiH, Dragan Čović, agreed on Saturday with the SDA on the formation of cantonal assemblies and the House of Peoples of the FBiH, while signing the paper was left for tomorrow.

They postponed talks at the state level for the coming period, which means that Čović is giving Dodik time to secure power in the RS, which would bring the SNSD into play for forming a majority in the BiH Parliament and the Council of Ministers, while the Alliance for Changes would be left out.

How such a turn of events and a possible scenario will affect the state level, i.e., whether in that case the SDA or DF will refuse to enter into a government with the SNSD, and then the Alliance for a Better Future of BiH comes into the combination, not even the best analysts can predict.

However, it seems that we will have to wait for the state government, and everything is in the hands of Adam Šukalo, until yesterday an absolute political unknown.
