POSKOK returns case to Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office regarding the closure of Northwestern Medical Center clinic and retention of embryos

(Patria) - The Special Department for Combating Corruption, Organized and Inter-cantonal Crime (POSKOK) yesterday afternoon returned to the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office the case related to the proceedings concerning embryos and the closure of the Northwestern Medical Center clinic.

The Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office will undertake all necessary actions within its jurisdiction, and at the same time, we inform the public that POSKOK has a case under consideration that partly relates to the potential responsibility of named officials at the federal level.

Concurrently, this judicial institution reminds that it is competent to determine whether a criminal offense has been committed in this specific case, and calls upon the competent institutions to resolve the issue of the care of embryos and biological material within their legal powers.
