Visit to the Tunnel of Hope Memorial Complex

Organized by the Council of the Local Community "Trg oslobođenja-Centar", and under the auspices of the Municipal Council Commission for Local Communities and Cooperation with Municipalities and Cities, a visit of citizens to the wartime Tunnel of Hope D-B was organized.

The president of the local community council, Dževad Jusić, stated that this project was initiated with the aim of remembering the defense of the city and the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and nurturing the achievements of our defense-liberation struggle, reports the Patria agency.

– The council of our local community unanimously proposed the organization of this excursion, financed by the Commission for Local Communities and Cooperation with Municipalities and Cities. I think this is one of the right moves by the local community and the aforementioned commission so that people can be reminded, or see for the first time in their lives, how the citizens of besieged Sarajevo managed to survive during four years of siege.
