Special Departments of the Prosecutor's Office and the Supreme Court of FBiH to start work in December, lawyers, investigators, psychologist sought

(Patria) - The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council, at the request of the US Embassy, will not appoint judicial office holders in the Special Departments of the Federal Prosecutor's Office and the Supreme Court of FBiH for the suppression of corruption, organized and inter-cantonal crime during its two-day session held on Wednesday and Thursday. This appointment will be postponed until the end of September, and the Special Departments are expected to start operating at the beginning of December.

The HJPC needs to appoint a special deputy chief federal prosecutor of the Federal Prosecutor's Office of the Federation of BiH, nine prosecutors of the Federal Prosecutor's Office of the Federation of BiH, and ten judges of the Supreme Court of the Federation of BiH – Special Department of the Supreme Court of the Federation of BiH.

The Civil Service Agency of FBiH announced a Public Competition on Wednesday for filling civil servant positions in the Federal Prosecutor's Office of FBiH.

The competition seeks nine expert legal advisors, three expert advisors – investigators, three expert advisors – economists, one psychologist, and one expert associate each for general and legal affairs and public procurement affairs, as well as an expert associate for cabinet affairs.

The Government of FBiH, at a telephone session this week, accepted the offer from the bidder ‘EURO STAN’ d.o.o. Istočno Novo Sarajevo dated 30.08.2024. for business premises in Sarajevo, Alipašina Street 6, on the second floor of the building, with an area of 697.05 square meters. The premises where these Special Departments will be located will cost the Government 31.50 KM/m2 + VAT. They are leased for a period of five years, starting from 1.10.2024, reported Istraga.
