ISIS message: Erdogan is a traitor

The Islamic State has called Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan a traitor because he allowed Americans to use an airbase for attacks on the extremist organization, reports the Patria News Agency.

In a video message, posted on Twitter, the Islamic State called on Muslims in Turkey to support it and to fight against the "crusaders, atheists, and tyrants".

As reported by the AP agency, the video shows an Islamic State fighter, accompanied by two others, speaking in Turkish and accusing Erdogan of allowing the US to "bomb the people of Islam".

Last week, six F-16 fighter jets were delivered to the Turkish airbase, participating in missions against the Islamic State in Syria.

AP adds that it cannot independently confirm the authenticity of the video, which, however, is widely "shared" by supporters of the Islamic State on social networks.
