Family tragedy: Mirsad killed his wife, then shot himself

A family tragedy occurred today in the village of Donja Vidovska, municipality of Velika Kladuša. Fifty-two-year-old Mirsad Rekić shot his wife Mirsada (50) with a pistol, and then committed suicide, writes the BH news agency Patria.

Mirsad hit his wife in the back with several shots from a pistol. The unfortunate woman died immediately. After that, Mirsad shot himself in the head. Neighbours called the emergency services and the police. Mirsad showed signs of life, however, he died at the Velika Kladuša Health Centre where they tried to resuscitate him.

Allegedly, the motive for this family tragedy was jealousy and marital problems. Mirsada was a music teacher at a school in Velika Kladuša.
