
(Patria) - The Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH – Cantonal Tax Office Sarajevo, on 07/13/2023, in the procedure of direct sale of confiscated precious metal jewelry, sold 1,968.50 grams of gold jewelry for a total value of 93,191.97 KM.
The direct sale was conducted by groups/subgroups and in total for all groups, without setting and publishing minimum prices and without requiring a deposit.
In accordance with the Decision of the Government of the Federation of BiH, the sales commission previously determined the minimum prices for groups/subgroups and in total for all groups of jewelry, which served as a measure in the evaluation of submitted bids, and therefore the sale was conducted based on the best offer with the highest price for each individual group/subgroup of jewelry.
Also, in accordance with the Decision of the Government of the Federation of BiH, only natural persons – registered goldsmiths could participate in the sale in question.
The remaining quantity of unsold jewelry is 2,048.28 grams of gold and 2,777.96 grams of silver. The Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH points out that the sales commission will adjust the value of the remaining confiscated gold and silver jewelry with the stock market price and the exchange rate of the US dollar, all in order to determine the best minimum prices below which the jewelry will not be sold.
In the next period, the sales commission will make a decision on the re-sale of the remaining precious metal jewelry.
