Tax Administration of FBiH Announces Increased Controls of Taxpayers

(Patria) - The Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH will, in the upcoming period, conduct intensified inspection supervision of the legality of business operations of taxpayers in the Federation of BiH. Inspection supervisions will be focused on verifying compliance with the provisions of the Law on the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH, the Law on Fiscal Systems in the Federation of BiH, the Law on the Unified System of Registration, Control, and Collection of Contributions, the Law on Contributions, and other tax laws.

Controls, which will be carried out during working hours, as well as outside working hours and on weekends, will cover taxpayers engaged in various service activities.

The Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH calls on taxpayers to align their business operations with the law, to register every employee, to fiscalize, to issue fiscal receipts, and to record every individual transaction through a fiscal device and transmit the data on realized turnover to the Tax Administration's server, thus avoiding the risk of business closure and the payment of high fines.

Furthermore, the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH reminds citizens that they are obliged to request a fiscal receipt for every purchased good or service rendered. The Law on Fiscal Systems prescribes a fine of 50.00 KM for buyers who, during an inspection, do not present a fiscal receipt to an inspector of the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH within a 20-meter radius after leaving the point of sale.

In order to increase tax discipline, the Tax Administration invites citizens to report non-compliance with tax laws, employment of unregistered workers, non-issuance of fiscal receipts, and other corrupt practices by calling the toll-free number 080 020 333, sending an SMS message to the mobile number 061 724 610, or via e-mail:
