Flooded houses, traffic blocked in Komatin Street

(Patria) - Rainfall once again caused problems and concern for residents of Širokača after a landslide appeared at the Curine Njive site in Sarajevo last year.

The rain led to a traffic blockade in Komatin Street, where residents gathered.

Water from the Curine Njive site caused a traffic blockade in Komatin Street and asphalt erosion. Asphalt erosion also occurred, and traffic was suspended in Komatin Street.

The report of the Civil Protection Administration of Sarajevo Canton on the landslide at the Curine Njive site in the area of Stari Grad Municipality - Bostarići states that due to heavy rainfall and water saturation, further destabilization of the soil may occur, reducing its strength and increasing the risk of sliding.
