Flooded areas: 4,000 people in Gunja have nothing to eat!

Volunteers of the Red Cross warn of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gunja, where about 4,000 people from the flooded area have nothing to eat, reports the Patria news agency.

The Red Cross has distributed the last food supplies, and new donations are not arriving, which is why an appeal has been sent to the Government of Croatia to take responsibility for the Županja Posavina region.

According to an HRT report, genuine despair has taken hold in Gunja. People are seeking and begging for help, but it is not coming.

Marko, with two small children, comes to get food. At home, four more family members are waiting for him. There is no food.

"The last time I was here, 15-20 days ago, I got a package of pâté," says Marko, who, according to the HTV reporter, will go to bed hungry again.

Another resident says he only receives hygiene products.

"There is nothing on the shelves, everything is empty, and our refrigerators are empty too," says a woman from Gunja, who lives with her daughter, as she opens an empty refrigerator.
