Floods in Bugojno, water not drinkable this morning

(Patria) - Residents of Bugojno had a sleepless night behind them as they battled floods due to the overflowing Poričnica river.

Several basements, yards, and local roads were flooded, as well as the yard of the Secondary Technical School in the Poriče settlement.

Due to the river overflowing, traffic has been suspended on the Bugojno-Kupres main road, in the Poriče settlement. Vehicles are being rerouted through the Čipuljić settlement, it was announced by IC BiHAMK.

According to what was stated by the Civil Protection Service, snowmelt and heavy rainfall have increased the water level.

Relevant services worked through the night to divert water from the road by pouring sand.

Bugojno Waterworks and Sewerage announced this morning that water needs to be boiled, and that additional chlorination is underway.
