22 public city transport lines re-established

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Ministry of Transport of Sarajevo Canton informed the Government of Sarajevo Canton today about public line passenger transport in Sarajevo Canton, specifically the re-establishment of the missing 22 public city transport lines that have not been in operation for a long time.

The Government has given the Ministry of Transport consent to register the timetables for the period until the end of the current year, in accordance with the Rulebook on the conditions, manner, and specifics of organizing public line transport.

As emphasized by the relevant minister, Adnan Šteta, this means that the citizens of Stari Grad and other parts of the Canton are getting back what they had before, which is orderly and timely public city transport, all with the aim of improving the quality of life for the citizens of Sarajevo.

In October last year, the procedure for selecting carriers on lines for which decisions on deletion from the timetable register were made was initiated. The company Centrotrans responded to the public tender and was found to possess all the necessary documents and capacities to maintain these lines.

These are minibus lines on the routes Baščaršija - Vratnik, Sinanovići - Trnovo, Baščaršija - Mihrivode, Garež - Delijaši - Hamzići, Vijećnica - Hladivode, Ekonomska škola - Obad, Ekonomska škola - Bakarevac, Park - Hrastovi 2, Park - Mrkovići, Latinska ćuprija - Hošin Brijeg, Vijećnica - Brusulje, Grbavica - Hrasno, Ilidža - Miševići, Ilidža - Šabići - Sinanovići, Latinska ćuprija - Mahmutovac, Kovači - Sedrenik, Latinska ćuprija - Jarčedoli, Latinska ćuprija - Širokača - Komatin, Ekonomska škola - Hum, Ilidža - Garež, Ilidža - Dejčići, and on the bus line Otoka - Buća Potok. We note that most of these lines have not been maintained for years.

In accordance with federal regulations in this area and inspection findings, the mentioned lines were previously deleted from Gras's line transport.
