Police are searching for two unknown individuals who attempted to kidnap a 15-year-old girl N. K. from Cetinje on Tuesday, writes Podgorica's Vijesti, reported by the Patria news agency.
The abduction attempt occurred around noon, on Peko Pavlovića Street near the elementary school “Lovćenski partizanski odred”. The girl's father, M. K., informed the police about the incident two hours later.
He told “Vijesti” yesterday that he was in Podgorica with his wife when he learned what had happened.
“My daughter told me she was going to the store when she noticed a white car without license plates – a station wagon, slowly approaching her from behind,” said M. K.
He said his daughter told him she thought the vehicle would stop in front of a nearby dumpster.
“She told me there were two men in the car, one driving and one in the back seat. It was the man in the back seat who opened the door, grabbed her by the left elbow, and tried to pull her into the car,” M. K. stated.
At that moment, the girl's father said, the fifteen-year-old hit the abductor with the phone she had in her hand. “She hit him and managed to break free and run away,” said the father.
M. K. pointed out that he has been contacted by a large number of Cetinje residents in the last two days, who are worried about their children after the incident.
“I am in contact with the police, and I hope they will find those responsible soon,” the father concluded.
