
(Patria) - Chairman of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović received in a farewell visit the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in BiH, Benjamin Sturtewagen.
During the conversation, Bećirović emphasized that Sturtewagen, during his mandate in our country, made a significant contribution to strengthening the good bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Belgium.
It was highlighted that work will continue in the coming period on strengthening ties between the two countries, especially in the field of economy.
In this context, the interlocutors agreed that the reopening of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in Bosnia and Herzegovina will further strengthen bilateral ties.
Bećirović thanked for the support that the Kingdom of Belgium provides to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path towards European and Euro-Atlantic integrations, as well as for the support for the adoption of the Resolution on July 11 as the International Day of Remembrance and Commemoration of the Genocide in Srebrenica committed in 1995.
Also, the importance of Bećirović's official visit to the Kingdom of Belgium at the end of March this year was pointed out, during which he spoke with the King of the Belgians Philippe, Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Hadja Lahbib.
Bećirović said that Bosnia and Herzegovina greatly appreciates the principled support of the Kingdom of Belgium for the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
