Recount of Ballots from 19 Polling Stations on October 23

The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina held a session on Sunday evening and adopted a decision ordering a recount of ballots from 19 polling stations, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The recount will take place on Thursday, October 23, 2014, starting at 10:00 AM at the Main Counting Center in Sarajevo in the presence of election observers. The order came after the chief controller for processing, entry, and verification of voting results for the 2014 General Elections submitted a report to the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina stating that it is not possible to verify the election results at these polling stations from the summary forms prepared by the polling boards, as they show significant deviations in the accuracy test.

A recount of ballots has been ordered for the following polling stations:
- 050A088 in the basic electoral unit Tuzla for electoral levels 515, 403, and 203;
- 010B078 in the basic electoral unit Gradiška for electoral level 302;
- 133A105 in the basic electoral unit Novi Grad Sarajevo for electoral levels 513 and 407;
- 034B186, 034B045, 034B084B in the basic electoral unit Banja Luka for electoral level 303;
- 167A012, 167A026 in the basic electoral unit Goražde for electoral levels 513 and 205;
- 083B037C in the basic electoral unit Zvornik for electoral level 307091A004;
- 091A004 in the basic electoral unit Travnik for electoral level 206;
- 056B023 in the basic electoral unit Ugljevik for electoral level 306;
- 103B016 in the basic electoral unit Vlasenica for electoral level 307;
- 012B024 in the basic electoral unit Srbac for electoral level 302;
- 166B015 in the basic electoral unit Foča for electoral level 309;
- 161B022 in the basic electoral unit Nevesinje for electoral level 309
- 009B040 in the basic electoral unit Prijedor for electoral level 301;
- 126A015 in the basic electoral unit Jablanica for electoral level 207;
- 173A001 in the basic electoral unit Čapljina for electoral level 207;
- 052A002 in the basic electoral unit Čelić for electoral level 203.

It has also been ordered to open the security bags at two polling stations in the basic electoral unit Čelinac (035B006 and 035B018) because the forms with results from those polling stations were allegedly packed into the bags. If the forms are not found in the bags, the ballots from the mentioned polling stations will be recounted for all electoral levels.

Important: Candidates of political parties, coalitions, and independent candidates appearing on the ballot being counted, as well as other accredited observers for the electoral units covered by the decision on ballot counting, may be present during the counting, as well as accredited observers for the Main Counting Center.

We remind that the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina is currently in the process of determining the election results, which includes consolidating votes from regular polling stations, polling stations where voters voted in absentia, votes of voters who voted via mobile team, votes of voters who voted by mail, votes of voters who voted in diplomatic and consular missions, and votes of voters who voted on unconfirmed ballots, the CEC announced, reports the Patria agency.
