The rest of the half was a one-way street. The Swedes had a lead of 5:1 in the sixth minute, then 9:4, and then a seven-goal advantage (13:6) in the 23rd minute.
With Lukić's goal, our guys reduced the deficit to 14:9, after which the Scandinavians restored a seven-goal distance (16:9) with a goal from Pettersson.
The first 30 minutes concluded with a score of 17:11.
