To the semi-world of semi-intellectuals!

It didn't take long for a new mess by MD – directed by DL – to entertain us all, so they wouldn't have to deal with serious topics. The reserve police force should be feared first and foremost by Serbs in RS. This should be clear even to the dumbest person in that part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, if nothing else, after the events at Trg Krajine or Trg Davida Dragičevića. Among Serbs in RS, there will be 1000 characters of unknown origin, legally armed with rifles, with powers contrary not only to the BiH Constitution, European conventions on human rights, and the BiH Criminal Procedure Law... but also to common sense, especially in the part that provides for the possibility of "legendization" or hiding identity when functioning as informants or undercover investigators, with the power to deprive a person of liberty if there are grounds for suspicion that they have committed a criminal offense and if there is any reason listed in the RS Criminal Procedure Law... For whom, and against whom these 1000 – initially 100-200 people, as the man with the most evil eye in the world said – will work remains to be seen, but it is clear at first glance, however evil the eye, that migrants (of whom there are none in RS at all) will be their last concern... 

Be that as it may, all well-intentioned people in this country should finally be concerned not only about the increasing frequency of talk about "God forbid" and "God grant". For too long, silence has reigned on the fact that war is the only veil large enough to hide all the scams, thefts, robberies, embezzlements, unfiled indictments, uninitiated criminal charges, and unprosecuted offenses against the country, society, state, and (all) peoples. And that is only one thing to worry about. The second, incomparably more serious fact is that there seems to be no way to assemble a coalition of interested individuals, people, organizations... anyone or anything that would (deal with) the increase of the existential minimum, the election threshold, and the intelligence quotient instead of the number of armed people and gun barrels, budgets, per diems, regular and extraordinary incomes of budget users, taxes, para-fiscal charges... 

Why is it so difficult to assemble a Bosniak coalition or at least a coalition for Bosnia of interested parties (this term "pro-Bosnian" drives me crazy)? Is the problem with those who are assembling it: 1. Because SDA has so far betrayed the trust of all parties and groups that have ever allied with it at any level and in any capacity, and therefore no one wants to be deceived (again)? 2. Because SDA representatives in that coalition are figures with whom no one wants to have any dealings? 3. Because no one is sure what they are actually getting into, what awaits them in that coalition, and for what they might be (co-)responsible? 4. Why did everyone respond to his father's call – both those who loved him and those who didn't? Or is it perhaps 5. the problem with BI himself and his closest circle of associates? For example... AO, AS, ŠDŽ... or advisors he left in trust to his successor in the Presidency, gathered only by one rule I heard yesterday: "family friend"(?!)? 

Or is the problem with what that coalition should unite around. 

Namely, a coalition – if clarification is needed – unites around someone or something. As for the former, in this specific case, there is no one to unite around, and as for the latter... the situation is incomparably more complex. Namely, in short, and for the (coalition) to unite around something, it is necessary for "someone" to unite it, and we have already established that we do not have that. The question "why don't we have it" is not particularly difficult: the leader (of the coalition) should be (at least) a hundred years ahead of the best among those he leads, and certainly not a hundred years behind the worst among his followers... 

The answer to all the above questions is: Yes... it is... that's why! 

Two (coalition) attempts, namely the BH-bloc and SDA's call for a broad post-election coalition, are directly and mutually destructively aimed against each other, without (even) a hint that they could agree that some would govern at one level and others at another, and thus each individually or all together show genuine and sincere interest in the well-being of the country and its people. But no...! Primitive particularism, protection of one's own interests, and (control of) budgets are more important than any state-building narrative. 

Ethno-national gathering, mobilization, and uniformization, and some kind of collective identification whose foundations, reasons, or purpose are not clear even to the most ardent nationalists, especially to those who individually have nothing else to define themselves by than nation – an existentially completely irrelevant set of facts... We have invented greatness, inaugurated them as moral, political, and national verticals... semi-intellectuals who have introduced primitive reductionism as a standard, equating concepts with ideas, people with functions, and functions with authority, happiness with material status, and material status with success... equating place of birth with upbringing, upbringing with education, education with academic title, titles with erudition, and erudition with manners... people with nations, nations with political organizations, political organizations with parties, and parties with peoples, with every man, woman, and child born into families they did not choose, from parents they also could not choose, have been given names they may or may not like... and because of all this that they could not choose, they can easily find themselves in a situation where their lives are at stake (for this occasion, we will ignore the fact that they chose that situation for themselves)... We have promoted fabrications as truths, and then protected them as dogmas that are not only not allowed to be questioned but must not even be uttered... certainly, all this could cost us dearly: it could cost the parties and (their) peoples their lives, as well as us who just happened to be there. 

To not remain incomplete or unclear: politics based on the above premises – and all politics in Bosnia and Herzegovina is like that – is destructive to the point of bordering on collective suicide. And in that collective suicide, Bosniaks would again be the biggest victims. Why? Not because they are the most numerous, but because in that entire national and nationalist story, they are the youngest, most inexperienced, and most lost... but that is still a special and separate story.

However... Are there any sinless, perfect, or ideal political actors on the Bosnian-Herzegovinian or at least the Bosniak political scene? No! Are there such individuals? No! Is there any political organization with the strength to confront its own shortcomings, eliminate them in record time, and return to political life cleansed and refreshed? No! Is there anyone on the BH political scene who is willing, for the sake of the common good, for the benefit of the people they come from, for the sake of inter-party agreement... to withdraw from politics? No! Therefore... The unofficial election slogan from 2014, and to some extent from 2018 – let's choose the lesser evil! – has unfortunately become a bitter reality.

Isn't it time, a quarter of a century and more since we started this story, to subject it to some review, proofreading, and correction, to at least admit to ourselves where and how we have erred, to critically confront reality, the present burdened with problems, and the uncertain but not at all pleasant future...? Isn't it time to convene some kind of "Bosnian assembly" free from personal, party, ideological, and all other dogmas, and despite the universal shortcomings of everyone and everything on the political scene in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the complexity and urgency of the situation dictate that all of them be ignored and something be assembled, if for no other reason than to prevent the certain and foreseeable negative consequences of its non-assembly.
