Sworn In: Petković, Pružan and Kovač Begin Work as State Prosecutors on September 1

 

Three newly appointed prosecutors of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, who are to take up their duties on September 1, today took the solemn oath before the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC), following their appointment to the positions of prosecutors of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, the Prosecutor's Office announced, as reported by the Patria news agency.

The prosecutors who will assume their duties in a few days and join their colleagues in the fight against the most serious forms of crime, with the aim of protecting the rule of law and the safety of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, are: Ivana Petković, Mersudin Pružan and Muhamed Kovač.

The oath-taking ceremony was also attended by the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, Goran Salihović, who congratulated the newly appointed colleagues and met with them, as well as with colleagues from the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office who came to offer congratulations, in his office, wishing the new prosecutors luck and success in their work.

At the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, we expect that the remaining 3 prosecutors, who are still needed, will soon be appointed by the HJPC, so that the Prosecutor's Office of BiH can reach its planned capacity, which will certainly improve efficiency in the fight against all forms of crime under the jurisdiction of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH will mark 14 years of existence at the beginning of next year, an institution that, serving the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, prosecutes the most serious cases of organized crime, economic crime, corruption, terrorism and war crimes.
