Farmers with tractors stopped in Stup and Semizovac: The authorities are afraid of the people, but they won't give money for subsidies

(Patria) - Mesud Pinjo, Secretary General of the Association of Processors of the Federation of BiH, said today in front of the Government of Sarajevo Canton that he came to support the processors and that he stands with them, because this is, next to dairy, the best agricultural branch in the FBiH. Due to police intervention, a large number of farmers who set off with tractors did not come to the protests.

"What is happening today is a disgrace and a shame on the part of the 'non-government', I will not say the Government of Sarajevo Canton. The Government and the Ministry of Economy have brought us to a beggar's staff. We have an incompetent government and ministers. Properly announced peaceful protests, people were stopped in Stup and are at the autopijaca. Another group with tractors was stopped near Semizovac. The authorities got scared of the poor who sat on their tractors and wanted to peacefully say enough is enough," said Pinjo.

He said they had a permit from the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton, and 70 tractors set off.

"Everyone should have seen the disgrace and shame, let it be on SFF. People were stopped halfway," says Pinjo.

In July, farmers received subsidies for the first quarter.

"The Minister of Economy is an ignorant man. A small amount was paid to certain people. It has never happened that July passes without the subsidies that were processed during that period and for which people applied being paid," said Pinjo.

It is not yet known when the subsidies for the second quarter will be paid.
