We Are Politicised from Top to Bottom and Back

Four months after the elections, we still have no government. We are tired of parties and leaders. Bertolt Brecht has a famous poem about the sovereign. I paraphrase it: When His Highness dies, the people writhe in pain. The people's heart is torn. The people see no future. The people fearfully await the next few days. If His Highness were to return after seven days, there would not be a single porter's position for him in the entire empire.
 
Once we had one party and a Central Committee, and then we got a hundred parties and smaller central committees instead of that one joint one. That is why politics is everywhere, in every pore of life.

We have top architects, engineers, real bridges, dams, they build beautiful buildings, they design. But no one has heard of them. They are not decently paid because they are not in the right business, which is politics.

If you want to be a respected doctor, you have to join a party. We have brilliant doctors who do their job excellently. But they get no recognition for their knowledge and skills. Only when they appear on electoral lists do people hear about them, and then stories are spun about their great and life-saving cures or surgical procedures on patients.

If someone is an average writer, parties are the only place where such people get opportunities. Since our people read little or not at all, average writers worm their way into parliaments, associations, take up some positions and become important figures, regularly without any responsibility. They become important and respected people, and it is forgotten where they came from. And that they were once average in everything, before they became top-notch in politics. We are politicised from top to bottom and back.

There is no doubt, any nobody can enter politics, as can be seen from the above. Politics is the largest free territory for mediocrities. One does not need to be smart or educated to notice the limited and uneducated. They reveal and impose themselves. Conversely, to discover real people, wise, smart, educated and capable, one needs a bit more brain for that discovery. That is why the same ones always win our elections.      

It would be good to first investigate fake diplomas among politicians. It would turn out that not a small number had false patriotism. That they misrepresented themselves.  That their concern for people was false. That they are, generally speaking, false people. And because everything about them is false, the only valuable thing they can show about themselves is that fake diploma. That will be the only fact confirming that they are the original of the forgery.     

National parties are a paradise for the limited. They ask nothing special from their fans, and even less from their party representatives. It is enough to applaud and flatter your leaders and show love for your nation, seasoned with at least a bit of hatred for others and those who are different.

Civic parties are a paradise for the limited. They only ask that you avoid the national. To applaud and flatter your leaders and show love for the citizens who voted for you. And all that seasoned with a bit of hatred for national parties.

All in all, to engage in politics and be successful there, there are no special conditions. There is no responsibility for what is left undone. Any fool can enter political waters. But, it is hardest for educated, cultured and capable people to enter. They do not want to go among primitives. If they do join a party, the limited and mediocrities soon discover them and there is no escape for them.   

Politics has entered all cells of society like a disease. It would be much better if some cells of society were occupied by politicians.
