Political entities paid over 20 million KM from budgets of all levels of government in BiH in 2023

(Patria) - The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, among other things, took note at today's session of the information on the review, control, and audit of financial reports of political parties for 2021, with audit findings and the Report on the reviewed state of financial operations of political parties in 2021, as well as information on planned and paid funds to political entities in 2023 from the budgets of all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina will, in accordance with the Law on Financing of Political Parties, initiate proceedings against 47 political parties, for which the review and audit of their financial reports found reasonable suspicion that they violated the provisions of the Law on Financing of Political Parties in 2021.

The aforementioned audit reports of political parties with audit findings and auditor's opinions will be published on the website www.izbori.ba, and the auditor's opinion will also be published in the Official Gazette of BiH.

According to the data collected from competent authorities and institutions at all levels in Bosnia and Herzegovina, funds in the amount of 20,996,233.43 KM were planned for the financing of political entities in 2023. Of the planned amount, 96.65% was paid, meaning funds in the amount of 20,293,347.55 KM were paid to political entities.

The information does not include data on payments of funds to political entities from the budgets of the Central Bosnia Canton, the Municipality of Breza, and the Municipality of Kalinovik, as they have not yet submitted them.

The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina will also publish data on its website regarding planned and paid funds to political entities in 2023 from the budgets of all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina, excluding the Central Bosnia Canton, the Municipality of Breza, and the Municipality of Kalinovik.
