Police in KJKP Rad acting on order of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office: Controversial public procurements

(Patria) - A search is underway at the headquarters of KJKP Rad, conducted on the order of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office and by warrant of the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo.

"Police officers of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of the Canton of Sarajevo are carrying out activities by order of the Prosecutor's Office of the Canton of Sarajevo. More information after the completion of the activities," Mersiha Novalić, spokesperson for the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of the Canton of Sarajevo, told Patria.

At the helm of KJKP Rad is Nijaz Salamović, a cadre of the People and Justice party.

The Cantonal Prosecutor's Office had been investigating the appointment of Nijaz Salamović, as well as certain public procurements in this company.

Members of the Ministry of Interior of the Canton of Sarajevo are also at a location in the area of Novi Grad as part of the same case.

Alem Hamzić from the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office told Patria that police officers are conducting a search in the premises of KJKP Rad with the aim of collecting documentation and evidence related to the criminal offense of abuse of official position and authority.
