Police took Miličević away after hours-long search of his house: 'See you tomorrow in Banja Luka'

(Patria) - Members of the RS police took the Mayor of Teslić, Milan Miličević, away after an hours-long search of his family home.

Miličević is accused of, along with two other councilors in the Teslić City Assembly, committing the criminal offenses of trading in influence and accepting bribes.

Upon leaving the house, he briefly addressed his supporters, stating that the money found was family savings.

- People, I was deprived of my liberty this morning at 7:00 AM, my family home was searched. The money, which five doctors had saved for at least a decade, was confiscated and voluntarily handed over.

While many others who spend tens of millions stolen from this country and buy land on Jahorina, in Dedinje, and so on, are free and will probably remain free.

If I am a victim, I accept it. I only ask you to remain calm, peaceful, and dignified. I am going to Banja Luka, and we will see each other tomorrow in Banja Luka, and we will go towards final victory - said Miličević.
