(Patria) - Suspended police officer in Nikšić, Zoran Gašović, was arrested today in Nikšić on the order of the Special State Prosecutor's Office, Libertas has learned.
The Prosecutor's Office accuses him of committing the criminal offense of crimes against humanity, in the territory of the municipality of Hadžići, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, during the war events of 1992.
Gašović was, according to unofficial information, previously suspended from the police due to suspicion of committing other criminal offenses.
"The search of the apartments and other premises of the arrested Z.G. at several locations in the country is underway, in order to collect further evidence of the criminal offense," announced state prosecutor Vukas Radonjić, spokesperson for the Special State Prosecutor's Office, today.
Gašović will, he stated, be brought for questioning within the legal deadline to a special prosecutor specialized in criminal offenses against humanity and other goods protected by international law.
The Patria News Agency has previously written about Gašović.
