'Half a million marks to the Mayor of Mostar for non-transparent spending'

MOSTAR, (Patria) - The FBiH Government yesterday approved financial support of almost half a million KM for this year's Budget of the City of Mostar. In this regard, Naša stranka Mostar announced:

"It is unacceptable for the FBiH Government to manage the money of all citizens of the Federation in this way and to allocate almost half a million to any mayor without any public explanation. In this specific case, it is even worse because it concerns the Mayor of Mostar. We remind the public that, at the initiative of Naša stranka, federal inspectors reviewed the way the mentioned mayor spends money from the city budget and prepared a negative Audit Report back in 2016. Instead of the FBiH Government introducing special supervision measures over budget execution in Mostar afterwards, they gave the mayor even more money! What kind of message is that to all those in this country who respect the laws and work transparently?" - stated Boška Ćavar, a member of the GO NS Mostar.
