EXCAVATOR BROKEN Konaković Dashes Hopes of RS Opposition to Join Government Instead of SNSD

(Patria) - BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmedin Konaković (NIP), after announcing he would sweep SNSD cadres with excavators, and drawing the RS opposition into the story about the dismissal of Nebojša Radmanović and the passing of the Law on Border Control and the Law on Personal Data Protection, has suddenly fallen silent about changes in state government.

Yesterday, he invited several ambassadors with whom he discussed the current political situation. At the same time, HDZ leader Dragan Čović from Mostar clearly stated that the HDZ will not support anyone's dismissal, regardless of who it comes from in the state government, and that they are not in favor of government reshuffling. Konaković clearly understood Čović's message, so his announcement today about the meeting with ambassadors regarding a potential coalition was described as a "mathematical possibility".

"Yesterday, we held a very important meeting with ambassadors of EU member states accredited in BiH, the EU Delegation to BiH, and the ambassadors of the USA, Turkey, UK, and Japan.

We explained the current political situation, presented further steps, and showed how we are very close to adopting all the key laws necessary for the formal start of negotiations.

We also demonstrated the mathematical and substantial possibilities for a strong coalition that wishes well for the people in our country to make great progress in a short period. Destructive elements who enjoy anarchy and disorder, those due to whom hundreds of thousands of people have left their homeland, stand in our way. That is why it is important that, together with the friends of our country, we move Bosnia and Herzegovina strongly forward," Konaković stated.

At the session of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly held on Thursday, two laws from the so-called set of European laws were supported by all delegates from the Serb Club, including SNSD, SDS, and PDP.

The very next session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly will show which coalition and of what kind continues to form the state government.
