Attempt to overthrow the constitutional order: HSP BiH calls for annulment of referendum decision

The Presidency of HSP BiH has commented on the announced referendum in RS on January 9th as the Day of RS, assessing it as an attempt to overthrow the constitutional order that could lead to catastrophic consequences in BiH, reports the Patria News Agency.

- Although a referendum is one of the democratic achievements, in this case it is being used as an instrument for the secession of RS from BiH. Therefore, the decision of the National Assembly of RS to schedule a referendum for September 25th represents the biggest violation of the BiH Constitution to date and is a serious attempt to disrupt the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is the position of HSP BiH.

Political forces in RS, led by Milorad Dodik, by overthrowing the rule of law, the Constitution and state institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and by overthrowing the Dayton Peace Agreement, are leading the country into lawlessness, anarchy, and insecurity. The Presidency of HSP BiH calls on the Constitutional Court of BiH to react and annul this decision of the National Assembly of RS, the statement reads.
