Movement for Civic Bosnia fully supports the proposed constitutional reforms presented by 'Krug 99'

(Patria) - The Movement for Civic Bosnia expresses full support for the "Krug 99" Proposal for Constitutional Reforms based on civic democratic principles, recognizing in this document a realistic and constructive path towards building a modern, democratic, and functional state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"This proposal is the most concrete and realistic path towards building a civic, democratic, and European Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is time to finally put an end to ethnic blockades and divisions that are stifling the country and humiliating its citizens. Bosnia and Herzegovina must be a unified, secular, and legal state of all its citizens – not the property of ethnic elites," emphasize the Movement.

They add: "The "Krug 99" proposal is based on the civic principle of sovereignty, a unified system of government, and a clear commitment to the rule of law, secularism, and equality of all citizens. This lays a healthy foundation for overcoming the existing ethnic and administrative divisions that have been hindering the country's progress for years".

"The Movement for Civic Bosnia particularly welcomes the proposal's focus on alignment with the European Convention on Human Rights, the recommendations of the Venice Commission, and the criteria of the European Union, which makes this concept fully aligned with European values and the standards of modern democracies.

We believe that this document represents a serious basis for social dialogue on the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina, based on responsibility, equality, and the civic dignity of every individual.
We call on all political entities, the academic community, non-governmental organizations, and international partners to support the initiative of "Krug 99" as a foundation for real constitutional reform and a step towards a civic and European Bosnia and Herzegovina.
