Forward Movement: The Troika is in a death embrace with Dodik, they fear he will replace them

(Patria) - According to current developments, the Troika has accepted a subordinate role within the ruling coalition at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Although it is evident that the Dodik-Čović duo dominates the processes, it seems the leaders of the Troika are not too worried about it. However, one should understand non-verbal communication, as well as strategic communication in a broader international context, which is lacking here, according to the Forward Movement.

They listed several facts and pointed out that Milorad Dodik is persistently sending a message to the foreign factor, primarily from the West, that he is precisely the leader of the processes in BiH and that no important issue can be resolved without him.

"The message is clear, the international community should accept his matrix for solving problems in BiH. It should be kept in mind that the international community does not have an emotional approach. On the contrary, it is precisely thanks to it that Dodik is still where he is.

He constantly fuels the latent threat that he will replace the Troika with a new parliamentary majority at the BiH level. Two of the three leaders of the Troika are ministers at the state level, and a change in the parliamentary majority would automatically mean their dismissal. This would be particularly difficult for the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Elmedin Konaković. It is clear that Dodik is constantly manipulating them, while the leader of the SDP cannot oppose him, because the Forto-Konaković duo would disobey at the federal level. In practice, they are in a death embrace," they state.

The leaders of the Troika are promoting Dodik as the undisputed leader in BiH, offering him a helping hand every time he is in trouble, according to this movement.

"Regardless of Dodik's direct and open approach: 'all or nothing' and 'if you don't agree, I'll replace you - SDA can't wait', they have to play by his malicious tactics. Ignoring the international community is Dodik's strategic task number one. The problem is the Troika's agreement to such a relationship, and it is particularly dangerous to push a very harmful anti-American narrative, which Dodik insists on. We should not forget that key positive changes in BiH were achieved precisely thanks to American engagement, UIO, DGS, SIPA, OSA, OSBiH, Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH. After that, America handed over the leading role to the EU, Lajčak arrived, and the rest is a history full of mud in which we are still wallowing. That is why it is especially important to retain key allies. We must think rationally, because there is no room for emotions in high politics, and America still has a say in many important processes in the world. The EU depends on the USA, however harsh that may sound. We must not forget history, especially the one during and after World War II.

Behind Dodik's political actions stands a serious team that follows, advises, and supports him. It is clear that these are not activists of his political party, but professionals for whom this type of consulting is a craft. Unfortunately, all actors on the political stage appear tired and sleepy, there are no particular reactions from civil society or the academic elite, while BiH is humiliated daily security-wise, diplomatically, and in every other way. We must institutionally say ENOUGH to Vučić's diplomatic and intelligence circles," they conclude.
