Initiative for informal gatherings of religious leaders in BiH launched

SARAJevo, (Patria) – The heads of religious communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina discussed in Sarajevo on Thursday at an informal meeting in a Sarajevo catering facility, in order to send a message about the importance of mutual dialogue, writes the Patria agency.

The initiative for informal gatherings of religious dignitaries in BiH was launched by the Rais al-ulama of the Islamic Community in BiH Husein-ef. Kavazović, Cardinal Vinko Puljić, Metropolitan Hrizostom, and Jakob Finci on behalf of the Jewish community. 

It was emphasized that there is no need to wait for formal events and occasions for meetings and discussions, but rather to promote a culture of informal gatherings and conversations, thereby highlighting the importance of coexistence and respect among all peoples in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The host of the first informal gathering of religious leaders in BiH was Cardinal and Archbishop of the Vrhbosna Archdiocese Vinko Puljić. The host of the next gathering is Rais al-ulama Kavazović.
