Increased vehicle frequency on all major road routes and most border crossings

(Patria) - After the traffic accident investigation was completed, the section of the M-5 highway Travnik-Donji Vakuf, on the Komar mountain pass, has been reopened for traffic since 4:30 PM, reports BIHAMK.

Due to a traffic accident involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle, which occurred in the village of Šije, on the M-17 Maglaj-Doboj section, traffic has been suspended since 4:30 PM.

Vehicle frequency is increased on all major road routes, as well as at most border crossings. The road surface is wet or damp, and this weather contributes to frequent rockfalls onto the road.

BIHAMK urges drivers to drive with maximum caution and adjust their driving to the current road conditions. Maintain a safe distance between vehicles and avoid risky overtaking.

At the border crossings Izačić, Velika Kladuša, Hadžin Potok, Bosanska Dubica, Bosanska Kostajnica, Gradina, Bosanska Gradiška, Bosanski Brod, and Orašje, there are long queues of passenger vehicles exiting Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At the border crossings Šepak, Zupci, Karakaj, and Deleuša, there is increased traffic of passenger vehicles entering our country. Traffic of passenger vehicles is also increased at other border crossings, but delays are up to 30 minutes.

Tonight until midnight, the transport of explosives is prohibited on the roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On the Jablanica-Blidinje highway, traffic is permitted for vehicles up to 3.5 tons, while traffic for vehicles over 3.5 tons remains suspended.

Due to passenger registration under the new EU Entry/Exit System (EES), longer delays may occur at border crossings.

The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. As of December 2, 2025, the Karakaj border crossing is open for all vehicle categories. Traffic for all trucks is prohibited at the Šepak border crossing.
