Increased vehicle frequency on roads in BiH, traffic jams expected in the afternoon

(Patria) - On the last working day of this week, increased vehicle frequency is expected on all major road routes in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as at most border crossings.

Traffic will be especially intense in the afternoon hours. BIHAMK appeals to drivers to be maximally cautious and to maintain distance between vehicles.

"We also ask other road users (pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists, electric scooter users..) to be cautious and to respect all regulations."

Reconstruction works are underway on the main roads: Semizovac-Olovo, Jablanica-Prozor (Mirci), Ustikolina-Goražde (Mravinjac), Sarajevo-Pale, Vrhpolje-Ključ and Bijeljina-Šepak (in Janja).

We remind you that traffic is allowed for all vehicles up to 3.5 tons of total mass on the Jablanica-Blidinje road.

At the border crossings: Velika Kladuša, Gradina and Gradiška, there is an increased frequency of passenger vehicles entering Bosnia and Herzegovina, and at the crossings: Izačić, Zupci and Deleuša, there is a queue of vehicles exiting our country. At other border crossings, waiting times range from 10 to 30 minutes. The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons.

Traffic is prohibited for vehicles over 5 tons of maximum allowed mass at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik). Trucks over 5 tons are redirected to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use the Šepak crossing. Trucks can travel through the Šepak crossing from 9 AM to 1 PM and from 10 PM to 6 AM (on weekends, they can cross between 10 PM and 6 AM).
