(Patria) - Since the early morning hours, traffic of passenger vehicles and buses has increased on roads towards Srebrenica. We ask drivers to be extremely cautious, maintain a safe distance between vehicles, and avoid risky overtaking.
On the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the genocide against the citizens of Srebrenica and the burial of identified victims of the Srebrenica tragedy, traffic of freight vehicles over 3.5 tonnes is banned today on all roads leading from Sarajevo, Tuzla, and Zvornik towards Srebrenica.
Today, a ban on the transport of explosive materials is also in effect on the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Additionally, this ban is in effect on the following roads: Drinjača-Konjević Polje-Milići, Vlasenica-Luke, Konjević Polje-Bratunac, Drinjača-Bratunac-Srebrenica, and Srebrenica-Zeleni Jadar.
Extremely hot weather requires drivers to set off on longer journeys in the early morning or evening hours. If you travel during the hottest part of the day, take more frequent breaks and consume sufficient amounts of water. Be rested and focused, protect your life and the lives of other road users. We also ask cyclists, motorcyclists, electric scooter users, and pedestrians to be cautious and to obey all traffic regulations.
