Increased Traffic Intensity in BiH, Especially from the South Towards the Interior

(Patria) - In most of the country, traffic is moving on predominantly dry roads, reports BIHAMK.

Increased traffic intensity is expected today, especially on routes leading from the south of the country towards the interior, as well as towards the northern border crossings. BIHAMK advises drivers to inform themselves in advance about the condition and passability of roads, as well as border crossing conditions.

There are long queues of vehicles at the exit from Bosnia and Herzegovina at the border crossings Izačić, Hadžin Potok, Velika Kladuša, Gradina, Bosanska Gradiška, Bosanski Brod, Bosanski Novi, Bosanski Šamac, Bosanska Kostajnica, Bosanska Dubica, and Orašje, while at GP Bijača, there is increased vehicle traffic in both directions.

There is a long queue of vehicles entering Bosnia and Herzegovina at GP Doljani. At other border crossings, passenger vehicles are currently not waiting longer than 30 minutes.

Due to bridge damage, the Brčko border crossing can only be used by pedestrians.

Traffic is suspended on the Jablanica-Blidinje main road, as well as on the regional roads Vrbaška-Mrakovica (in the Vučijak quarry area) and Ugljevik-Glavičice, in the village of Ugljevik.

Due to active landslides, the main roads Dobro Polje-Foča (at the locations Sijeračke stijene and Tuhalji) and Gacko-Tjentište (between the Čemerno and Surdup tunnels) are highlighted.

Works are underway on the A-1 highway section Visoko-Podlugovi and Lepenica-Tarčin, as well as on the main roads Sarajevo-Pale, Gnojnice-Nevesinje (Dračevice), and Jablanica-Mostar (Donja Jablanica).

Traffic is prohibited for vehicles over 5 tons of maximum permissible weight at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik).

Trucks over 5 tons are being rerouted to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use GP Šepak.

Trucks can use GP Šepak from 9 AM to 1 PM and from 10 PM to 6 AM (on weekends, they can cross between 10 PM and 6 AM).
