Increased engagement of BiH Armed Forces and EUFOR in the Bosna River basin

The BiH Armed Forces and EUFOR have increased their engagement today in the Bosna River basin, Maglaj, Žepče, and Doboj, and are working on cleaning and waste removal, and implementing DDD measures.

A total of 520 members of the BiH Armed Forces and EUFOR, 78 motor vehicles, and 9 engineering machines are engaged in the field. In Željezno Polje, 100 members of the BiH Armed Forces and EUFOR are engaged in the reconstruction of local roads, along with a significant number of civilians who are increasingly participating day by day in removing the consequences caused by natural disasters, floods, and landslides, it was announced from the Ministry of Defence of BiH, reports Patria.

Although "Joint Effort 2014" is a military exercise, it is actually very real because it deals with a realistic situation. In this case, the BiH Armed Forces have shown a strong and organized structure.

In addition to their engagement in the "Joint Effort 2014" exercise, members of the Armed Forces have continued their engagement with personnel, engineering, and transport capacities in other cities including Zenica, Orašje, Bijeljina, Tuzla, Šamac, Odžak, Doboj, Bratunac, Šekovići, Srebrenica, Osmaci, Olovo, Zavidovići, where they are working on landslide remediation, transporting humanitarian aid, rehabilitating terrain with the engagement of specialized ABHO teams, providing medical care, and other activities that members of the BiH Armed Forces are providing to the population facing the consequences of catastrophic floods, according to the statement from the Ministry of Defence of BiH, reports NAP.
