Greed and petty privileges: The play Animal Farm depicts the state of Bosnian society

The play Animal Farm by George Orwell, directed by Dino Mustafić, is being performed again on the stage of the Sarajevo War Theatre. After Friday, the play will also be performed on Sunday, January 17 at 8 PM, reports the Patria news agency.

„Animal Farm“ was created as a reaction to the deviation of a historical revolution. It describes the downfall of a community, which begins with self-love, petty privileges, greed, taking credit for others' work, personal interests, lies, betrayal, corruption... leading to totalitarianism. Fear becomes a powerful weapon, and freedom is the price that is paid and gives way to absolute control.

This work speaks about the civilization we belong to and the injustices and inequalities in our micro-world, defined by state, entity, cantonal, and municipal borders.
