See what TUŠ left behind in BiH: Debt exceeding six million KM, 101 companies reported damages

According to data from the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as many as 101 companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina reported being harmed by the Slovenian retail chain TUŠ when it withdrew from the BiH market in October this year, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

However, the number of affected BiH companies could be even higher, as only data received by the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH by November 20 this year were taken into account. According to the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH data, the debts left behind by TUŠ currently exceed the figure of 6 million KM.

Mirko Tuš, a businessman from Slovenia, withdrew his retail chains from BiH at the end of October this year after eight years of operations in this country, citing a decline in citizens' purchasing power and, as he stated, a lack of understanding from suppliers who no longer wish to provide goods on deferred payment.   

TUŠ left behind millions in debts to the state and suppliers in BiH, who are announcing lawsuits before domestic and international courts.

The Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH has requested all relevant institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Slovenia to conduct a thorough investigation into this event.

The turnover generated by TUŠ in 2013 in BiH amounted to more than 1.3 billion KM, NAP reports.
