See the list of 187 scholarship holders of Centar Municipality

In the large hall of Centar Municipality on March 12, 2015, a contract signing ceremony was held with the recipients of the ''Prof. dr. Husein Kulenović'' scholarship for the 2014/2015 school year, awarded by Centar Municipality to high school and university students with high average grades in order to support their further education, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

The assistant to the mayor for education, culture and sport, Zakira Šero, stated that 306 applications were received for the public call for scholarships, of which 187 scholarship holders were selected after scoring according to the established criteria. Among them are 93 high school students who will receive a monthly amount of 80 KM, and 94 university students who will receive a monthly scholarship of 120 KM. The scholarship covers the period from September 2014 to June 2015.

On behalf of the mayor Dževad Bećirević and the Municipal Council, Jasna Beba, secretary of the municipal administrative body, greeted the attendees.

- I must express great satisfaction with the fact that Centar Municipality has been supporting the work of the best students for the past ten years through scholarships. This tradition will continue in the coming years, and I hope it will be an incentive for the scholarship recipients to continue their work and slightly improve their student budgets - said Beba.

Along with the congratulations extended to the scholarship recipients, Senad Alić, councilor of the Centar Municipal Council and president of the Municipal Council Commission for Education, added:

- The commission had sweet dilemmas, as there were more applicants who met the conditions, but due to the limited amount of funds, we were unable to cover everyone. Therefore, the Municipal Council and Mayor Bećirević wish to find additional funds in the budget for about 40 more students who meet the conditions - stated Alić.

The Centar Municipal Council, at its session on February 26, 2015, passed the Decision on the selection of students for the award of ''Prof. dr. Husein Kulenović'' scholarships for the 2014/2015 school year.
