Today in Islamabad, the music video „Be Fair be JusT“ was promoted. This video, and the song performed by BiH ambassador to Pakistan Nedim Makarević, was created as a result of his desire that the massacre committed in the Pakistani city of Peshawar not be forgotten, reports the Patria news agency.
-After visiting the site of the massacre in Peshawar and meeting with surviving children and students, and facing the fact that something needed to be done, I appealed through the media that the massacre in Peshawar, where 130 children and 12 adults were killed, should be given additional attention, Ambassador Makarević told Patria.
He says he was prompted to take this step after the global reaction to the events in Paris.
-Comparing that to the earlier massacre in Peshawar, I decided to send a message to the public through music. Why music? Well, music is the easiest way to reach people's hearts.
In the video that was made and the song we recorded, the goal is to remind people of the murdered children and to give them the respect they deserve, just like the victims of the attack in Paris, Makarević explains.
The entire project is called Be Fair Be Just. It is essentially a remake of the Beatles hit “We can work it out” which publicly expresses through lyrics what, Makarević says, he wanted to say and convey to the world.
After addressing a large number of diplomats present in Islamabad, as well as representatives of state bodies, foreign NGOs and students, the video was released and met with approval, receiving great support.
