Check out some BMW models that catch the attention of car enthusiasts

The BMW Museum is located in Munich, right next to the main BMW headquarters. It was founded in 1972 and deals with the history of the development of this Munich-based company, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The museum showcases BMW's development over the years and contains models of cars, motorcycles, engines, and aircraft turbines, as well as old and new "concept" projects from the 1920s. This museum has an annual visit of about 250,000 people.

THE ORIGIN OF BMW

BMW was founded in 1916 when Gustav Otto, the son of the inventor of the four-stroke internal combustion engine, merged his aviation company with Rapp Motorenwerke. In its early years, the newly formed company was engaged in assembling V12 aircraft engines for the needs of Austro-Daimler, which later became Mercedes-Daimler.

The name Bayerische Motoren Werke officially came into being in 1917, along with the trademark of a blue and white circle, presented by BMW as the movement of an airplane with a propeller, representing white blades spinning against a blue sky.

In 1931, BMW designed its first car under the name 3/20. This was followed by the 303 model with the characteristic "twin kidney" front grille, and then all the others.

Even today, BMW is a leader in the automotive industry.
