Podžić: SDP must clean its ranks, then talk about unification

Sifet Podžić, Secretary General of the Democratic Front, says that "with due respect to the SDP, unification of that party with the DF is not possible for now," responding to today's call by Zlatko Lagumdžija, president of the SDP, addressed to Željko Komšić.  

- There are good and honest people in the SDP, but in this party they must first clean their ranks. When they do that, then there would be a possibility for us to talk about the unification of social democracy. As it stands, this is not possible for now – Podžić told the Bosnian news agency Patria. 

SDP president Zlatko Lagumdžija called on the Democratic Front and Željko Komšić "to see how and in what way they can unite the idea of social democracy in this country."

Lagumdžija, in an interview with Radio Bosnia and Herzegovina, congratulated the DF and Komšić on their election results. 

- As far as I'm concerned, the smartest thing is, and I take this opportunity to call on the DF and Željko Komšić to see how and in what way we can unite the idea of social democracy in this country. But, I have only one condition - don't be orange. Either you are red or you are not!", said Lagumdžija.
