(Patria) - Minister of Defence of BiH Sifet Podžić met today, 7 December 2021, with the Special Envoy of the United States of America for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, and the Ambassador of the USA to BiH, H.E. Eric Nelson.

The topics of discussion were the current situation in the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of BiH under circumstances of interim financing and the COVID-19 pandemic. They also discussed the process of modernising the Armed Forces of BiH, as well as issues of resolving non-perspective military property, primarily military locations.

The high-ranking official of the United States of America, Escobar, and H.E. Nelson expressed full support for the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of BiH on the path to Euro-Atlantic integrations, as well as support for further reforms that are necessary in this process.
