Podžić: DF is ready for agreements with everyone for the benefit of citizens

Currently, the situation is complex, but I still believe that a solution will be found and that the process of forming the government in the Federation of BiH will be unblocked, says Sifet Podžić, Secretary General of the Democratic Front, reports the Patria News Agency.

Although it was planned for the weekend, specifically today, for Željko Komšić and the President of SDP Nermin Nikšić to meet, the talks were postponed until the return of the Deputy President of SDA Bakir Izetbegović, who traveled to Riyadh last night.

- DF is ready to discuss all possible combinations and reach agreements in order to overcome this crisis. We are ready for compromises, because citizens must not suffer further, Podžić states.   

The blockade in forming the government occurred at the last session of the House of Peoples of the Parliament of FBiH.

Given that SDP has a Decision from its Main Board according to which this party will not participate in the executive and legislative government, they have not proposed their candidate for this position.

For this to be done, Nikšić said that the existing Decision must be changed, but that he cannot do it alone, but rather the party bodies.

A session of the SDP Presidency is announced for tomorrow, while the Main Board will also convene on Saturday.

DF proposed a non-partisan candidate Slobodan Šojo for the Vice President of FBiH from the Serb people, but he did not receive the necessary majority in the Serb Club, where SDP has its six delegates.
