Support of the Islamic Community for war victims is invaluable, faith in God is the most effective medicine for them

Bakira Hasečić, president of the Association „Woman - victim of war“, said that for victims of aggression from BiH it is of great importance to have the support of the Islamic Community in BiH, after meeting yesterday with the head of this community, Reis-ul-ulema Husein ef. Kavazović. 

Hasečić told the Patria news agency that faith in God is one of the best medicines that helps victims cope with the traumas they experienced in the past, and that the work of the Islamic Community, i.e. the work of local imams with victims, is a great support for people who endured horrors during the aggression against BiH.

It is not only the support of the Islamic Community that is important for victims, Hasečić said, but all other religious communities in BiH should also get involved in providing help, NAP writes.

Yesterday's meeting between Reis-ul-ulema Kavazović and representatives of the Association „Woman – victim of war“ was the first meeting after Kavazović was appointed head of the Islamic Community in BiH. Hasečić says she is happy that Reis-ul-ulema Kavazović will continue where the former head of the Islamic Community in BiH, Mustafa Cerić, left off, who provided invaluable support to war victims in BiH, NAP writes.
