Report filed on criminal offense against Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, agreement with Association Point disputed

(Patria) - The Federal Police Administration filed a Report on a committed criminal offense on 01/12/2024 against Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, former mayor of the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo due to "Abuse of position or authority" under Article 383, Paragraph (3) in conjunction with Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after police officers conducted measures and actions in the previous period under the order of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, during which significant documentation was collected and a larger number of witnesses were interviewed.

Ibrahim Hadžibajrić is suspected of abusing his official position by first concluding an Agreement with the Association Club for Practical Shooting and Tactical Training "POINT" from Sarajevo, which Agreement was later used for the direct lease of business premises – a warehouse in the basement of the Municipality of Stari Grad building, in order to present the aforementioned association as an "Association of Special Interest", and then during the allocation of funds in the amount of 20,000 KM on 06/15/2022, as well as the amount of 80,000 KM on 06/16/2022, which funds were used by the Association Club for Practical Shooting and Tactical Training "POINT" from Sarajevo, with the knowledge of the reported Hadžibajrić, for the purchase of weapons, which were then stored in the premises leased by the Municipality of Stari Grad to the said Association.

The reported person violated the provisions of the Law on Protection and Rescue of People and Material Goods from Natural and Other Disasters and the Rulebook on the Organization of Protection and Rescue Services and Civil Protection Units, their duties and operating procedures when concluding the aforementioned Agreement.
