Gift Packages Distributed to Residents of Bjelave Home

On the occasion of the upcoming New Year holidays, the Mayor of Centar Sarajevo Municipality Nedžad Ajnadžić, Deputy Chairman of the Municipal Council Mustafa Mulić, and the Mayor of Sarajevo Ivo Komšić visited the Home for Children without Parental Care "Bjelave" today and, together with Santa Claus, distributed New Year gift packages to the little ones.

They were welcomed by a cheerful atmosphere and a New Year's performance. The little ones from the choir "Bjelavko" sang songs and the Home's anthem with the director of the Public Institution "Center for Culture" Senad Bostandžić, who is also the author of the music. The program continued with socializing with Santa Claus, featuring skits and songs, and the distribution of New Year gift packages.

"We prepare for the New Year a bit longer. Everything the children do during the year—songs and recitations—they present here at the performances. It is always festive, cheerful, and fun here at this time; we try to make every moment beautiful for the children. I take this opportunity to express special gratitude to Mayor Komšić and Mayor Ajnadžić for being here with us today and for enabling Santa Claus to hand out gift packages to the little ones, as well as for helping the work of this institution in various ways for years," emphasized Saudin Đurđević, director of the Home.

Mayor Ajnadžić expressed great satisfaction with attending the New Year's performance of the little ones and stressed that the Centar Municipality will always support and back the work of this institution, which bears great social responsibility as it strives to raise children to become good and honest people.

"It was a pleasure to see today the sincere smiles on the faces of the residents of the 'Bjelave' Home. The joy that prevails among them during these New Year holidays is of immeasurable value. The Centar Municipality has supported the work of this institution for years, and it will certainly continue to do so in the future," Ajnadžić emphasized.

As a token of gratitude for the long-standing support, Director Đurđević presented the guests with musical works by the Home's residents.
