Indictment Filed for Document Forgery

The Economic Crime Department of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton has, after conducting an investigation, gathered sufficient evidence and filed an indictment against S.B. and S.R. for committing the extended criminal offense of forgery of official documents, reports the Patria news agency.

The accused are charged with, in the period between January 1, 2006, and August 31, 2009, jointly, with S.B. acting as a microcredit officer of the First Islamic Microcredit Organization Sarajevo from January 1, 2006, to December 31, 2006, then as a credit officer from January 1, 2007, to March 31, 2007, then as a microcredit coordinator from April 1, 2007, to December 31, 2007, then as a microcredit coordinator from January 1, 2008, to June 30, 2008.

Then, as director from July 1, 2008, to August 31, 2009, and S.R. acting as a person who assisted the officers of the First Islamic Microcredit Organization Sarajevo without compensation from January 1, 2006, to March 15, 2007, then as a volunteer from March 15, 2007, to June 30, 2008, then as a credit officer from July 1, 2008, to August 13, 2009, with the aim of obtaining unlawful property gain, appropriated money entrusted to them in their work, by jointly preparing several false loan agreements, thereby obtaining unlawful property gain for themselves in the total amount of 86,500.00 BAM, and in order to prevent the discovery of such loans, they returned part of the appropriated money in monthly installments, in such a way that S.R. prepared receipts in the name of the persons to whom the loan agreements were issued, thereby representing to the First Islamic Microcredit Organization that those persons were fulfilling their monthly obligations under the loan agreement, thus, as of January 14, 2014, they caused damage to the First Islamic Microcredit Organization in the amount of 51,908.00 BAM and to M.Č. in the amount of 835.00 BAM.
